The Department of Art History aims to provide student scholars and
artists with an understanding of both past and present creative and visual
responses to art.
Art History is a
lively, at times even controversial discipline, which promotes the study
of art objects within their intellectual, historical, cultural,
political, social and economic contexts. The faculty encourage students to consider and engage in art historical
approaches and debates.
